Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal awarded victory points to her Angers team, to the detriment of Montpellier, while her compatriot Zakaria Abou led her Toulouse team to their first victory of the season against Stade Reims, on matchday seven of the Premier French League.
Boufal led Angers to a two-for-one victory against Montpellier after his side were beaten by a goal in the seventh minute, before team-mate Adrien Hono equalized two minutes later as the Moroccan star scored the winning goal in the 69th minute from a penalty, which gave Angers all three points.
For his part, Abou led Toulouse to their first victory of the season at the expense of Reims, after scoring the only goal of the match in the 31st minute.
Boufal scored three goals this season on matchday seven of “Ligue 1”, as he returned strongly from injury from his long absence from the pitches; While Abu Khalil scored his second goal this season, after moving last summer on loan from Dutch side Alkmaar.
It should be noted that the Moroccan internationals Boufal and Abu Khalil participated with the Moroccan national team in the last African Cup final, which was hosted by Cameroon, and the “lions” were excluded from it during the Bosnian era, Vahid Halilhodzic, from -Season quarter finals against Egypt.
