Today, Thursday, the president of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, carried out a cabinet remodeling that included 6 portfolios; Including the interior and health, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.

According to the same source, the change of government included the Ministries of the Interior and Local Corporations, Health, Transport, Pharmaceutical Industry, Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Ibrahim Murad was appointed Minister of the Interior, replacing Kamal Beljoud, who was appointed head of the Ministry of Transport, while Abdelhak Sayhi was appointed Minister of Health, replacing Abdel-Rahman bin Bouzid; who was called for “other tasks”.

Lakhdar Rakhrouh was appointed Minister for Public Works, Irrigation and Base Establishments, replacing Kamal Nasseri, while Ali Aoun was appointed Minister for Pharmaceutical Industries, replacing Abdel Rahman Jamal Lotfi bin Bahamed, and Abdullah Manji, who was Minister for Transportation, was appointed Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic.

On the other hand, the functions of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdel Baqi bin Zayan, were terminated and Karmi Badari was appointed as successor, while the former Minister Delegate in charge of the knowledge economy and start-ups, Yassin Al Mahdi Walid, was appointed Minister of Knowledge Economy, Emerging Companies and Micro-enterprises.
