Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of National Education, Preliminary Education and Sports, confirmed that an agreement will be reached with the unions on the new status of the employees of the Ministry of National Education.

Benmoussa said today Tuesday, at a press conference in Rabat on the occasion of the entry into the college, that the joint technical committee between the ministry and the most representative unions will continue working to reach a consensus in the coming weeks on the general lines of a special unified basic system that stimulates women and men in education and makes it possible to establish the desired quality in the educational system.

On the other hand, the official confirmed that the Ministry of National Education, Initial Education and Sports worked on the definition of three main goals for the current school season.

These objectives are to ensure that all children of school age attend school and complete compulsory education, giving special importance to early enrollment in Primary Education and Primary Education.

The Ministry also seeks to improve the level of control of the students in basic learning and ensure that they acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, as well as improve the openness of the students and the saturation of values.

In this regard, Benmoussa indicated that it was decided to allocate 10 minutes to reading at the beginning of each Arabic and French lesson in primary education, and to allocate 10 minutes at the beginning of each mathematics lesson to exercises to better control this material, as well as the assignment of 20 minutes three times in the week of motor activities through the adoption of the physical education manual prepared by the Ministry.

The Minister of National Education, Prior Education and Sports said that more than 7 million 900 thousand girls and boys attended, yesterday, Monday, to enroll in the three educational threads in public and private education.

According to figures provided by the Ministry of National Education, Primary Education and Sports, the percentage of private education does not exceed 13.3 percent; While the proportion of students in the rural world is 40 percent of the total number of students.

The figures provided by Benmoussa indicate that the percentage of students in private education has decreased by 6.8 percent.

It seems that the high costs of private education prompted many families to return their children to public schools.

Benmoussa drew attention to the fact that the law does not allow the Ministry of National Education, Prior Education and Sports to determine the registration fees in private educational institutions. But he grants him the right to organize this process, referring in this regard to the framework law related to the system of education, training and scientific research.

Benmoussa also revealed that more than 525,000 girls and boys were enrolled, this season, in primary education units within the framework of the measure entrusted through collaboration agreements with some associations, highlighting that the number of children enrolled in primary education registered a 14 percent increase compared to the previous year.

The Minister of National Education, Primary Education and Sports indicated that Morocco currently has 26,000 primary education departments; Among them, 18,000 are in rural areas, highlighting that during this season 4,700 apartments were added and 5,000 new nannies and educators were employed.
