More than a week after the start of registration to take advantage of the fifth batch of aid that the Government allocates to professionals in the transport sector, union sources confirmed that the process of providing aid continues to face a series of problems that prevent several professionals benefiting from it.

A union source indicated that the problems faced by the professionals on this occasion were related to not renewing their licenses on time, pointing out that there were professionals whose licenses were expired and after they were renewed, they did not appear in the information system for their vehicles at the national level. of ministry.

The same source indicated, in statements to Hespress, that the reason why the ministry was unable to obtain the licenses for the professionals is due to the delay of the regional transport directorates in updating the data.

The ministry highlights that this support is provided to vehicles that meet a series of conditions, including paying taxes and having a license that is renewed every two years.

A source from Hespress confirmed that the first batch has not yet reached a number of professionals, adding: “The ministry did not respond to our repeated correspondence, as well as having recently closed the registration gate for the first batch permanently.”

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics announced the return to the value of the support from which the professionals benefited during the first three installments, and the discontinuation of the value of the fourth batch, which had an estimated increase of 40 percent.

It should be noted that the government launched a support process for road transport professionals in order to preserve the purchasing power of citizens, given the current situation, which is characterized by persistently high fuel prices.
