The Bayt Mal Al Quds Al Sharif Agency organized this Wednesday in Rabat a visit to the city’s space of historical memory of resistance and liberation, for the benefit of 50 Palestinian children from the city of Jerusalem.

This visit, organized in cooperation with the Directorate for Systems and Historical Studies of the High Commissioner for Ancient Resistance and Members of the Liberation Army, takes place on the occasion of the Moroccan people’s celebrations of the Revolution of the King and the People, and the Youth Day, as well as with the aim of introducing Palestinian youth to what Moroccan memory is rich in historical events during the period of resistance.

On this occasion, the Director of Studies and Historical Systems of the High Commissioner for the Former Resistance and Members of the Liberation Army, Hamid Maaroufi, said that the national space of historical memory of resistance and liberation “today receives a delegation of Palestinian children who we consider ourselves ambassadors in the city of Jerusalem, which occupies a symbolic, historical and distinct position in Moroccan thought and consciousness”.

Maaroufi stressed that this visit seeks to introduce Palestinian youth to the path of Moroccan resistance during the period of the national struggle for freedom and independence.

For his part, the boy Ahmed Attoun, a participant in the Al-Quds camp in Morocco, said that the places visited speak of the history of the Kingdom of Morocco, such as the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, as well as the space of historical memory. of resistance and liberation, where more was known about the revolution of the king and the people.

For her part, the girl Yasmine Ayyad, a participant in the Jerusalem camp, said: “We are honored to visit the Kingdom of Morocco, as it was an occasion to get to know several wonderful historical places in various Moroccan cities, including Tangier, Asilah and Chefchaouen. ”, adding: “Today’s visit is to the national space of the historical memory of the resistance”. The liberation in Rabat allowed us to learn about events that touched our hearts, especially because they embody the suffering of the Moroccan people during the colonial era…”.

The program for this activity included the presentation of a documentary entitled The Revolution of the King and the People, and a tour of the corridors of the national space of historical memory of resistance and liberation.
