Residents of the Al-Iraq neighborhood, in the Mazraa district of Sale, demand the construction of a mosque to hold the five daily prayers, after having held them for years in a small room dug out of the basement of a building that can only accommodate less than forty faithful.

The faithful crowd into the small hall, while dozens turn to prayer on the sidewalk. In Ramadan, they are forced to perform Tarawih prayers in a dusty courtyard after equipping it with mats.

The residents of the Al-Iraq neighborhood signed a petition, which they sent to the competent authorities of the city of Sale, to build a mosque that guarantees them to carry out their five daily prayers in good conditions.

Years ago, a benefactor offered land to the residents of the Al-Iraq neighborhood to build a mosque, but this was not possible.
