The demand for new cars by Moroccans has decreased since the beginning of this year, due to the offer prices and the damage to the purchasing power of citizens as a result of the increase in fuel prices.
According to data issued by the Moroccan Automobile Importers Association, the new car market recorded, in the first seven months of this year, sales of some 95,544 vehicles; This represents a decrease of 11.03 percent, compared to the same period last year.
As for sales last July alone, they amounted to 11,713 vehicles, down 12.31 percent from July last year.
According to the same data, the Dacia brand is the best-selling car in Morocco, followed by the Peugeot brand.
