In relation to the legislative elections that Morocco experienced on September 8, 2021, the Constitutional Court ruled on Monday that 27 appeals related to the election of members of the House of Representatives were not admitted and 28 requests for cancellation were rejected.

The Constitutional Court indicated, in a press release issued after its decision on the electoral controversies related to the election of members of the House of Representatives that took place on September 8, 2021, that “in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 132 of the Constitution, and the relevant provisions stipulated in the two organic laws related to the Constitutional Court and the House of Representatives, the Court established The Constitutional Court decided, within the constitutional term, on all appeals related to the election of members of the House of Representatives by vote on September 8, 2021, and as a result ruled that 27 appeals were not admitted and 28 requests for cancellation were rejected.

This court also ruled, adds the same source, revising the result, canceling the election of 16 members of the House of Representatives and correcting the result of the vote in a local electoral district.
