The Socialist Union: The King’s speech as a roadmap

The Political Bureau of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces described as “exceptional” the content of the royal speech on the occasion of the Day of the Glorious Throne, which derives from the desire of King Mohammed VI to correct the vision and pay it to challenges of a strategic nature, and look to face them from the appreciation of the symbolic and material elements of power, and overcoming the imbalances that hinder the construction of progress and development in Morocco.

He considered the royal speech as a road map based on values and strategic determinants, based on the priorities of equity, equality, solidarity and peace among peoples, hoping that the political, economic and civil actors rise to these challenges for the sake of of The progress and dignity of Morocco.

The party added, in a statement, that it received with great satisfaction the real signs calling for the Family Code to be modified and its provisions updated, so that it is capable of overcoming many of the imbalances revealed by experience, which are mainly sociological obstacles. . linked to mental resistance to the path of modernization, rationalization and opening.

He explained that the adoption of legislation and laws with the aim of empowering women and rehabilitating them, to the point of equality, as the king said, includes an advanced understanding of the role of legal and legislative references, which should not be a codification of what exists in society, although it is surrounded by historical grievances, but should be. They are proactive pedagogy, where the law leads society towards progress, modernization and equality. The law is based on redressing grievances, not legalizing them, adds the party.

The same communication collected with great positivism what was stated in the royal speech regarding the updating and updating workshops of the Family Code and other elements of approval of the real rights of women as a reference in a deliberative environment that allows equity, full equality. and parity, progress and human dignity, pointing out that this reflects the modernization approach of the real approach, a trend that requires rationally receiving religious texts, breaks with literal textual interpretations and is based on the purposes of Sharia, which What does it mean to change the rules? with changing contexts, and with the priority of the spirit of Islamic legislation guided by the objectives of justice, dignity and equality, and in line with the horizon of the social state as a strategic option.

The same political organization indicated that Morocco turned the harsh “Covid” moment into a moment to accelerate the construction of a new development paradigm based on social equity, based on attention to the priority of health sovereignty through the generalization of compulsory insurance. due to illness, non-salaried workers are infected, as well as the current beneficiaries of the “Ramid” system, going through the generalization of family compensation to vulnerable groups, and ending by speeding up the issuance of the single social registry.

The Socialist Union described this social workshop as “unprecedented, and far from the political auction market, since they are workshops for the Moroccan State, not for any passing government, and they need collective property, the State and society”, pointing out that “we are today facing what we can call: “the social process”.

He stressed that the success of the social process requires a strong national economy, which is a lever for development, progress and equality, and not a gateway for income and speculation, which deepen social and spatial differences, and added that the real discourse, and Within the framework of the frankness approach that can be considered one of the constants of the royal speeches, he recognized the difficulties that the national economy is going through, affected by the remnants of the pandemic, the price fluctuations in the international market and the effects of the drought. , but it was not based on a justifying language to escape the rights to mitigate and overcome the effects of the economic crisis.

Therefore, he adds, the communication, the support for farmers and the increase in the budget of the clearing house fund is not something that obliges simple Moroccans, as they have always done, unfortunately, some statements attributed to some Moroccan ministers ”.

The political organization itself considered the king’s speech in the economic aspect as a guiding compass, which restores consideration to the value of solidarity, warns about the dangers of greed, monopoly and speculation on social peace, and puts each one before their responsibilities, be they governmental or economic actor.

He continued: “It is a moment that demands solidarity and the priority of the public good, not taking advantage of opportunities to accumulate profits at the expense of the suffering of citizens and families, and that the international, epidemiological and climatic contexts are not a justification for avoiding the duty of protect the individual income of families and their purchasing power”.

The statement clarified that as a continuation of the strategy of building the Greater Maghreb, King Mohammed VI insisted on once again reaching out to fraternal Algeria, with the focus on the duty to stop some manifestations of altercations between affiliates of the Moroccan peoples. and Algerian. , considering this as a commitment to the Morocco of the peoples to build the desired North African integration, which is the awareness that all diplomatic success, which the enemy attests to the friend, remains incomplete in the face of regional tension between neighbors.

He stressed that Morocco, despite all these transitory tensions, will remain willing to put out the fires between the Maghreb countries and their peoples, and will not allow forces from outside the region to invest in fueling the climate of division between the Maghreb peoples.
