On this occasion, which was especially attended by the governor of the Tanger-Tetouan-Alhucemas region, Mohamed Mahdia, the head of the region’s council, Omar Mourou, and the governor of the Tetouan province, Younes Tazi, the financial distributed support to 27 affected families living in this land commune.
Omar Mourou confirmed, in statements to the MAP, that this operation is the second scale after the first station in the commune of Bougdian, province of Larache, yesterday Friday, and pointed out that this support is part of the activation of the council’s commitments of the region to mobilize 8 million dirhams within the framework of a special agreement to finance the repair and rehabilitation of more than 180 homes.
He mentioned that there are monitoring committees to keep pace with the reform process and ensure the return of citizens to their homes as soon as possible, valuing the support of the authorities of the region and of the affected regions in downloading urgent measures to reduce the impact of the fires.
It is noteworthy that the framework agreement on urgent measures, worth 290 million dirhams, is divided into five axes; It cares about supporting affected people to rehabilitate and restore their homes, mitigate the effects on livestock and beekeepers, carry out forestry operations, rehabilitate damaged fruit trees, implement integrated economic development projects and create more than 1,000 additional job opportunities in the affected areas. areas within the “Urash” program.
Some of the provisions of the framework agreement are discharged at the level of the Tangier-Tetouan-Alhucemas region through 3 special agreements that bring together the mandate of the region, the council of the region, the affected regions and the relevant ministerial sectors; The first refers to the rehabilitation and restoration of damaged houses with an economic endowment of 8 million dirhams, financed by the council of the region.
The second agreement contemplates the rehabilitation of some centers affected by the fires in the province of Larache and Tetuán, financed by the Ministry of Development of the National Territory, Urbanization, Housing and Politics of the Cities, while the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Development Rural, Water and Forests will mobilize additional financial funds under the third agreement to rehabilitate the forest area and compensate for damaged fruit trees.
The Tangier-Tetouan-Alhucemas region also signed another agreement with the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration, Family and National Cooperation, and the Agency for the Recovery and Development of the Northern Provinces, to mobilize an economic endowment to help the affected population.
